From little acorns

Great oafs grow
So, yesterday Name That Movie™ got reviewed on Wired.com.
Here is the impact on sales, versus the previous week.

Nice.
For a little more context, yesterday's sales are the 7th biggest in the apps short life, roughly half the amount of the highest sales day.
And while we are showing off the auld vanity metrics, how's about this for a spike on the Name That Movie™ website traffic.

All in all, pretty cool. Now if a few more of the big boys manage to pick up the app and review/feature it we'll be laughing.
Just for GLOLz I thought it'd be interesting to see which posts generated the most views on this here blog. I only did February and March because we hadn't actually posted anything before that since November (bad bad, naughty Redwinners).
One thing to note is that the values on the axes change a fair amount between the two graphs. So really we got way more visits in Feb-March, particularly when we did the 3 posts at once.
But interestingly the visitors in March-April hung around a lot longer, particularly in the days after the Push-It post.
- The post about JobBridge generated the majority of views. Not hugely surprising as even at the time it was retweeted like nobodies business.
- The post about Push-It kept people's attention the longest. Again not hugely surprising as it was a big mofo on a fairly interesting topic.
- The post about the Irish Times generated a fair amount of traffic, most of which immediately clicked off to the Irish Times website.
- Watching us drunk dancing in the office turned didn't keep your attention very long at all. I found that surprising as it's probably the best post we ever published.

Yes, the rumors were true! Ireland's most prestigious newspaper has run an article today about your lovable cuddly buddies at Redwind.
Some choice quotes…
- It was a case of first up, best dressed for mobile app and gaming company Redwind Software
- “You can’t make money in the Android market at all” says Winders
- But how did it feel to concede a 10 per cent stake? “While the company is doing okay at the same time you’re kind of giving away 10 per cent of nothing unless you do well, so it’s in everybody’s interests to do well.”
- “It was validation for us that our games were as good as we thought they were”

Kinect Tennis, after hours at Redwind
Two weeks in a row, does this make it a tradition?
Not sure what's the best part, my dancing, Nibbles' dancing, my avatar's dancing or Nibbles' avatar's dancing?
You be the judge

For information about what JobBridge is, take a look at the official website.
The basic idea is that companies can take on interns via the scheme at no cost to the company. The intern must be somebody who is currently claiming social welfare entitlements. In addition to their welfare payments the intern receives an extra €50 per week. This €50 is paid by the JobBridge scheme, not the company.
OMG, you bastards!
You should be ashamed.
This can't be serious.
Blah blah…
Exploitation. Unpaid. Disagraceful.
Blah…
JobBridge is the devil and you are a devil worshiper.
